Introduction of the Lab/ Research Field

Zheng YAN Laboratory of Westlake University mainly conducts theoretical and numerical research on quantum many-body physics, currently focusing on:

(1) Novel phase and phase transition, quasi-particle excitation of frustrated quantum magnetic system;

(2) Quantum simulation for lattice gauge theory, quantum adiabatic computing, etc.;

(3) Constrained quantum many-body systems, such as quantum dimer/loop models;

(4) Entanglement properties, such as entanglement entropy, entanglement spectrum;

(5) Developing numerical methods for quantum many-bodies, especially quantum Monte Carlo and related algorithms;

Of course, we welcome you to join us if you are interested in quantum many-body, to further explore the advantageous areas and open up new directions together.

Job Description

Position: 2 Postdoctoral Fellows

Requirements:

1) Feel interested in quantum many-body physics, either in theory or numeric, or focus on the quantum simulation/computing area.

2) Help PI to supervise students and research applications.

Other requirements:

Having obtained or about to obtain a Ph.D. degree, aged under 35. Done several research projects and published paper.

Compensation and Benefits

The research team offers a competitive compensation package commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. Applications for relevant projects and programs will be encouraged and supported.

Postdoc(s) selected for China Postdoctoral Science Foundation or Zhejiang Province Selected Funding for Postdoctoral Research Projects will be entitled to further receive a supporting fund of the same amount from the Hangzhou municipal government.

Postdoc(s) who work in Hangzhou on a full-time basis after completing their postdoctoral research will be eligible for applying an allowance of 400,000RMB from the Hangzhou municipal government.
