Introduction of The Lab/ Research Field

Dr. Xudong Wu has made many important discoveries in pathways regulating protein homeostasis and lipid metabolism. His original work was published in Nature, Science, Nature Cell Biology, Developmental Cell, PNAS, and many other journals. At Westlake University, Dr. Xudong Wu’s group will take an integrated approach including proteomics, biochemistry, molecular and cell biology, cell imaging, integrative structural biology to address key questions in pathways involved in maintaining organelle homeostasis. Major directions will include but not limited to: A) Protein quality control systems at the membrane on different organelles. B) Ubiquitin regulation of lipid metabolism. C) Therapeutic exploration of membrane quality control systems. The group is looking forward to young scholars with strong scientific interests to form a vibrant research team.
