Designing and conducting semi-field experiment to investigate the effect of agricultural pollution on pollinators in oilseed rape production

Job Responsibilities

- Design and carry out semi-field experiment to study the effect of agricultural pollutants on pollinators in oilseed rape production

- Prepare all the material needed for the semi-field experiment

- Conduct relevant pilot experiments to test the methods and materials

- Be involved in scientific publications

- Be a pro-active member of the SAT lab

Job Requirements (hardware development)

We are looking for a highly motivated Research Assistant with

1. Master degree involving field experiments and at least one of the following areas: insect ecology, pollinator ecology, environmental pollution, contaminant analyses.

2. English language proficiency

3. Ideally, experience in designing experiment, with bumblebees or solitary bees, and planting oilseed rape or other crops.


Compensation and Benefits

Competitive Research Assistant Salary. We offer membership in an international research team and modern facilities. The candidates are expected to work well both individually, in a team, and to integrate in an interdisciplinary and international group. The position will be based in the SAT Lab, Westlake University, Hangzhou, China.
