The administrative office of the school plays a key role in the administrative system of the university by liaising between the various departments and our school members including students, faculties and staff. With the culture of “academic needs determine administration, and administration serves educational and research purposes”, the school administrative team always strive to deliver professional and efficient service to all school members. We are seeking promising international talent with solid general experience in administration to join our team. Position 1-Lab Safety Assistant, School of Science

Job Responsibility

1. Manage and maintain the Laboratory Integrated Management System of School of Science;

2. Manage access control of labs at the School of Science;

3. Approve the chemicals purchase of labs at the School of Science;

4. Record and supervise on special laboratory and special equipment;

5. Conduct lab risk level assessment, carry out lab safety inspections and rectification regularly;

6. Formulate and update the lab safety management policies, regulations and contingency plans;

7. Manage the safety facilities, assist with organizing the safety trainings;

8. Assist with the maintenance of laboratory facilities.


1. Commitment to Westlake University’s mission and values;

2. Full-time master’s degree or higher, candidate with chemistry or materials major is preferred;

3. Previous experience in laboratory management at higher education institution and/or a multinational organization is a plus, familiar with the related lab safety regulations;

4. Good communication skills, able to use English as working language, ability to work well independently and as a team member.

Position 2-Foreign Affairs Coordinator

Job Responsibilities

1. English document drafting, translation, and proofreading; producing English promotional materials for school website, wechat and other platforms;

2. Providing administrative support for expats in the school, organizing events to advance internationalization and build-up a friendly, inclusive campus and school culture;

3. Assisting in daily office operations and activities, e.g. attending/scheduling meetings, programme management, student admissions, academic conferences etc;

4. Liaising with internal staff and various departments to perform any other duties as assigned.

2. Full-time bachelor’s degree or higher, candidate with scientific background is preferred;

3. Excellent command of both English and Chinese, especially strong oral and written communication skills;

4.  Ability to work well independently and as a team member;

5. Enjoy working in a multicultural work environment;

6. Competency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.

Compensation and Benefit:
