Position 1 - Deputy Director (for Undergraduate admissions)


Responsibilities:


1. Assist in formulating and implementing working plans for undergraduate admissions;

2. Responsible for formulating policies and regulations for undergraduate admissions;

3. Responsible for domestic and international undergraduate admissions, including admissions advertisement, application, consultation, enrollment examination, formulation of admissions requirements and procedures, reporting admissions results, etc.;

4. Responsible for freshmen orientation;

5. Other duties related to the Office of Academic Affairs as requested.


Requirements:


1. Embracing the mission and values of Westlake University; familiar with undergraduate or international students’ admissions; essential knowledge and working skills for the position;

2. Master’s Degree or above; 2 years of relevant experience in undergraduate or international admissions office asthe person in charge;

3. Fluent in both Chinese and English, able to use English as a working language;

4. Strong organization, management and teamwork skills, a strong sense of responsibility;

5. For outstanding candidates or candidates with admission- related working experience in overseas universities or Chinese-foreign cooperative universities, the requirements can be adjusted as appropriate.

Position 2 - Teaching Management Manager or Specialist


Responsibilities:


1. Assist with drafting and implementing university policies and regulations for undergraduate education. Assist with developing course requirements for undergraduate programs and majors.

2. Research best teaching practices and current educational reforms. Develop undergraduate majors and undergraduate major curriculum. Assist with textbook selection and management.

3. Oversee the application system for new courses and the standardization of undergraduate course syllabi.

4. Assist with the evaluation of teaching and undergraduate education procedures.

5. Assist with the undergraduate study abroad and exchange program.

6. Other assigned tasks and duties related to the Office of Academic Affairs.

Requirements:


1. Possess, or acquire, a strong familiarity with Westlake University and the university’s overall mission and goals. Have a strong sense of responsibility and work ethic. Be service-oriented and connect short-term organizational goals to the long-term mission of the university.

2. Master’s Degree or above. Three or more years’ experience as a university administrator or relevant professional role.

3. Competency in Microsoft Office and other professional software applications. Strong communication and writing skills. Fluent in English.

4. Ability to work and adapt in a fast-paced professional environment, both individually and as part of a team.

5. Preference given to candidates with work experience in either overseas universities or at joint China-Foreign universities.

Position 3 - Teaching Evaluation Manager or Specialist


Responsibilities:


1.Coordinate the evaluation of teaching and learning.

2.Coordinate teaching appraisals and processes for instructor feedback. Establish processes that help to continuously improve the quality of teaching and instruction.

3.Coordinate data collection on undergraduate course teaching and instruction. Compile reports on evaluation results for assessing teaching quality.

4.Coordinate the supervision of teaching and instruction. Organize in-class teacher observations. Organize instructional activities, classes, or lecture series that are open to the public.

5. Coordinate the management for course textbook.

6. Other assigned tasks and duties related to the Office of Academic Affairs.


Requirements:

Position 4 - Informatization Management Manager or Specialist


Responsibilities:


1.Manage the construction, operation, and maintenance of the student information system according to university specifications.

2. Communicate and coordinate with IT team to optimize the system through user feedback and testing.

3. Manage the collection of instructional data and data security protection.

4. Mange online systems for course enrollment and supervisor selection.

5.Coordinate the development of student information system according to department requirements and specifications.

6. Other assigned tasks and duties related to the Office of Academic Affairs.



Requirements:


1. Possess, or acquire, a strong familiarity with Westlake University and the university’s overall mission and goals. Have a strong sense of responsibility and work ethic. Be service-oriented and connect short-term organizational goals to the long-term mission of the university.

2. Master’s Degree or above. One or more years’ experience as a university administrator or relevant professional role. Major in computer science, electronic communication, or other science and engineering related majors preferred.

3. Competency in Microsoft Office and other professional software applications. Strong communication and writing skills. Fluent in English.

4. Ability to work and adapt in a fast-paced professional environment, both individually and as part of a team.

5. Preference given to candidates with work experience in either overseas universities or at joint Sino-Foreign universities.


Position 5 - Manager/Senior Manager of Teaching Development


Responsibilities:


1. Provide policy suggestions for the informatization of teaching and support for instructional technology based ondevelopmenttrends at home and abroad;

2. Organize research on teaching method innovation; design and implement training programs to improve teaching skills;

3. Coordinate the design, development and application of high quality courses and online courses;

4. Coordinate the construction of smart classrooms;

5. Other duties related to the Office of Academic Affairs as requested.


Requirements:


1. Embracing the mission and values of Westlake University; a strong sense of responsibility and service; strong awareness of overall situation;

2. Doctoral Degree; 3 years of relevant experience; Doctor of Education preferred;

3. Capable of conducting independent research in program development, teaching development, and teaching method innovation;

4. Strong document writing skillsin English and Chinese, strong Chinese and English communication skills;

5. Strong coordination and teamwork skills.

6. Candidates with related working experience in overseas universities or institutes and computer science knowledge are preferred.

Position 6 - Administrative Manager/ Specialist


Responsibilities:


1. Assist in the administrative coordination in the Office, including daily operation, human resource management, finance management, assets management and archives management;

2. Coordinate official seals, office automation system and website;

3. Coordinate organization of major events and activities within the Office and connection with other departments and schools;

4. Write bulletins and work plans;

5. Make propaganda plans and drafts for important work in the Office;

6. Assist in postgraduate and undergraduate admissions marketing;

7. Other duties related to the Office of Academic Affairs as requested.


Requirements:


1. Embracing the mission and values of Westlake University, 3 years of relevant experience in administrative department of university;

2. Master’s Degree or above;

3. Strong document writing skills, strong Chinese and English communication skills, able to draft Chinese and English plans, notices, and documents;

4. Ability to cope with stress, adaptability to changes, strong teamwork skills.
