Westlake Technology Transfer Lecture X Sequoia China: “Aiming at First-in-Class, How does Biotech Bridge the Gap Between Innovation and Markets?”

On the afternoon of April 13, the fifth lecture of the Westlake Technology Transfer Lecture Series invited Dr. Trency Gu, Managing Director at Sequoia China, to bring us the keynote speech: “Aiming at First-in-Class, How does Biotech Bridge the Gap Between Innovation and Markets?”.


Dr. Trency Gu shared her perspective on biotech innovation as an investor and introduced how Sequoia is involved in different aspects of the field of biotechnology innovation. Following the keynote speech, a dialogue was carried out between Dr. Gu and Prof. Tian Xu, Chair Professor of Genetics and Vice President of Westlake University. The dialogue shared their firsthand experience of technology transfer from the perspectives of a scientist and an investor, and answered questions about the specific details regarding the technology transfer process.
