Israeli Consul General of Shanghai Dr. Eyal Propper visits Westlake University

Since its establishment, Westlake University has attracted wide attention from social organizations, the media, businesses and governments from around the world. With ambitious goals and an open-minded attitude, the university has reached out and embraced the global community. On July 5, 2018, Dr. Eyal Propper, the Israeli Consul General of Shanghai, and his delegation visited Westlake University. Tian XU, Westlake University’s Vice President and Chair Professor of Genetics, welcomed the delegation.

Westlake University signs strategic collaboration agreement with KTH Royal Institute of Technology

Westlake University recently signed a strategic collaboration agreement with Sweden’s KTH Royal Institute of Technology. This marks the university’s first strategic collaboration agreement with an overseas higher education institution.Professor Min QIU, the vice-president of Westlake University, said that KTH is one of the most prominent universities in North Europe with remarkable accomplishments in science and engineering. He said partnering with KTH will be very instrumental in bringing fruitful cooperation to faculties, students and research exchanges.

Wu Family China Center of Columbia University visits Westlake University

A delegation from the Wu Family China Center for Health Initiatives of Columbia University visited Westlake University on October 22, 2019 to discuss opportunities for future collaboration. The delegation was led by Professor David Ho, MD, and was received warmly by Professor Yigong SHI — President of Westlake University and Chair Professor of Structural Biology. Following the briefing on the university's positioning, discipline establishment, faculty recruitment, and campus construction by Professor Shi, Professor Ho extended his appreciation and recognition of Westlake University’s educational philosophy, vision, future orientation, and positioning in China’s higher education landscape.
