"At Westlake University, we will devote ourselves to training young talents and perform original research."

Biography

Dr. Enzheng Shi received his bachelor degree from School of Materials Science & Engineering, Shandong University in 2010, and Ph.D. degree from Department of Materials Science & Engineering, Peking University in 2015. He worked as a postdoc research associate in Iowa State University from 2015 to 2017, and in Purdue University from 2017 to 2020.

Research

The research interests of Dr. Shi’s group are focused on:

1. Novel two-dimensional halide perovskite materials and heterostructures: controlled synthesis and applications in photovoltaics, ferroelectric semiconductors, thermoelectrics etc.

2. One-dimensional materials (e.g. carbon nanotubes) synthesis via chemical vapor deposition, assembly, and manipulation.

3. Exploration of nanometer contact in transistor miniaturization.

Dr. Shi has published 14 research papers as the 1st author or corresponding author on Nature, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, Chemical Society Reviews, ACS Nano etc. And he also served as the topic editors for Frontiers in Chemistry and Frontier in Energy Research.

Opening:

We are seeking for hard working PhD students, postdocs, research assistants who has research or education background in materials science and engineering, condensed physics, chemistry, and electronics engineering to join our group. Interested candidates are welcome to send CV to shienzheng@westlake.edu.cn.
