The “Digital Economy” International Young Talent Forum co-sponsored by Westlake University, Zhejiang University, Zhejiang Lab, and Alibaba DAMO Academy for Discovery, Adventure, Momentum and Outlook is to be held during the session of the 5th World Zhejiang Entrepreneurs Convention, which will take place between 13^thand 14^th November 2019. The Forum invites 300 young and talented people to join in. Westlake University sincerely welcomes well-established experts, promising early-career scientists and passionate postdoctoral researchers in China and abroad to join our panel session. I. Eligibilities

1. Hold a Ph.D. Degree with more than 3 years of overseas study or work experience;

2. Aged 40 or below.

For exceptional talent, we will extend the age limit where we see fit. We also welcome early-career overseas doctoral students.

II. Research interests

The fields of research include but not limited to structural biology, developmental biology, whole-group big data research, bio-informatics, computational data science, biostatistics, biomedical engineering, microbiome engineering, brain science and brain-like intelligence research, complex disease genetic big data and groups genetics, artificial intelligence-driven drug development, quantum physics, computational chemistry, applied mathematics, artificial intelligence basic research, natural language processing, deep learning, information retrieval, data mining, computer vision, robotics, 5G networks, cognitive engineering, brain Interface, image processing, computational economy, blockchain, smart sensors and internet of things, intelligent electronic skin, complex system simulation, computational mechanics, network security, optoelectronic chips, semiconductor technology, design, process, equipment, management in information technology , services, flexible manufacturing, network manufacturing, green manufacturing, smart manufacturing, etc.

The organizing committee will send out invitations according to the order of submission and compatibility. The positions are open until filled. After receiving official invitations, please arrange your own schedule. All successful invitees are entitled to travel grants, as indicated below:

● 3,500 CNY per person for Asia-based invitees (except China);

● 2,000 CNY per person for China-based invitees;

● 7,000 CNY per person for the rest.

The organizing committee will arrange catering and housing services from 12 November 2019 to the morning of 15 November 2019.
